Satsang: (lit., the company of the Truth) The company of saints and devotees; a gathering of seekers for the purpose of chanting, meditation, and listening to scriptural teachings or readings.
Shri Guru Gita: (lit., song of the Guru) A sacred text consisting of mantras that describe the nature of the Guru, the Guru-disciple relationship, and techniques of meditation on the Guru. Once a month Shri Guru Gita is preceded by an introduction. The purpose of the introduction is to bring a stronger focus of study and contemplation to our practice of chanting Shri Guru Gita.
Evening Arati: a text chant invoking the power of the inner light.
Abhishek: the ritual bathing, offered as worship (puja), of a murti, a statue enlivened with the spirit of the saint. Everyone is warmly invited to join us for this beautiful form of puja, followed by the chanting of Shri Guru Gita.
Family Satsangs: Satsangs for children up to 12, and their families, in which we explore the teachings and practices with stories and art.
Young People's Satsangs: Teenagers participate in a Young People's Satsang in the Course Room, linking via Skype with teenagers from around Australia. The Young People's Satsangs are designed to explore the teachings and practices in ways that are appropriate to your age group.
